Vital Statistics

In accordance with Connecticut state statutes, the staff must ascertain as accurately as possible, all births, marriages, and deaths which occur in the town, and must record them in books kept for these purposes.  Permits for burials, cremation, and disinterment are issued from the office. The staff fulfills hundreds of citizen requests for certified copies of individual vital statistic records.
