Meriden Public Works Conducts Fill-A-Truck Drive For Meriden Soup Kitchen

In honor of National Public Works Week, May 19-25, the City of Meriden Public Works Department held a food drive on Saturday, May 18, at Stop and Shop to benefit the Meriden Soup Kitchen. The NPWW 2024 theme of “Advancing Quality of Life for All” is demonstrated by the Meriden Soup Kitchen, which serves a hot meal to those in need Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Thanks to the generosity exhibited by Meriden residents, we were able to fill a truck with food donations that were delivered Monday morning, May 20, along with $400 in cash donations.
