Effective Saturday, October 5, 2024, brush will once again be accepted at the Meriden Transfer Station. However, there are changes in policies and procedures at the Evansville Ave. facility.
The acceptance of brush was discontinued in August, while the Public Works and Engineering Department worked on intake and disposal issues.
The maximum volume of brush accepted is now two (2) cubic yards per visit.
The City is now also limiting the number of passenger vehicle tires (without rims) to four (4) per visit.
