Overview

Land Records such as Deeds, Mortgages, Releases, Liens and Maps are recorded in the City Clerk’s Office and kept as permanent records in both paper and digital formats.

The City Clerk’s Office strives to maintain the highest level of quality and accuracy for Land Records.  In order to help the Office retain this level of quality and accuracy, we would greatly appreciate any Land Records transactions be completed no later than 4:45.

Subsequent Page or Portion $5.00
First Page (With Nominee/MERS/DART) $160.00
Transfer reportable to the State of Connecticut $2.00 each
If mailing address of grantee is not given $1.00
If names of those executing, witnessing and acknowledging are not typed or printed under signature $1.00
Marginal notation of assignment – subsequent to the first two $1.00 each

Searching Land Records

The City of Meriden utilizes NewVision Systems Corporation as the vendor to provide our online land records search. This subscription service, which is available 24/7, is FREE for searching. Cost will be incurred when printing. Use the link below to get started.
